Arranging a burial here
I can ask the council about a new grave or check the records for an existing one at Hugglescote. If someone needs to arrive by car close to the grave, tell me while we are making the arrangements.
Bringing ashes back for burial
The council lists the burial of ashes at Hugglescote separately from scattering. If your family wants a grave to visit, we can ask about a plot for ashes on Station Road or check a grave you already hold. We’ll confirm the grave and access for anyone coming with you.
How much would it cost?
If you’d like to know the cost of an interment of ashes, give me a call. I’ll check the cemetery fees and explain any charge for our help. You can ring even if someone else arranged the cremation.

Before asking a mason to change a family memorial, check who holds the burial rights. The council asks for the owner’s permission and sets limits on the size and type of memorial. If you’re arranging a burial, we can look at the deed at the same time.

Can someone drive into the cemetery?
The council gives 8am to noon on Monday, Wednesday and Friday for vehicle entry. People on foot can visit at any time. If someone coming to the burial needs to be driven closer to the grave, tell me before we agree a time.
