Castle Donington Cemetery
If your family already has a grave at The Barroon, tell me whose name is on it. I can check the arrangements for a burial and who needs to agree to a new inscription.

Arranging a burial here
The parish council deals with burial plots, ashes and memorial permission at the Barroon. If you have an existing grave, tell me who is already buried there so I can help check its record.
Arranging the burial of ashes at The Barroon
Castle Donington Parish Council uses a burial application for ashes being placed in a grave. If you want to use a family grave, bring its number if you know it. I can help check the grave details and agree a time for anyone who wants to be there.
How much would it cost?
If you’d like to know the cost of an interment of ashes, give me a call. I’ll check the cemetery fees and explain any charge for our help. You can ring even if someone else arranged the cremation.

For a first burial the stonemason asks the next of kin to sign the memorial application. For a later burial the council asks the grave owner to sign. If those are different people in your family, it helps to know that before you order the stone.

Bringing something for an anniversary
The Barroon is a lawn cemetery. The council allows a small number of extra tributes for two weeks around a birthday or the anniversary of a death, and from 15 to 31 December. Plan to collect them at the end of that time.
