Is £2,150 the complete cost of an attended funeral?
No. It is Bay Tree Funeral Director’s charge for the attended services shown on this page. Crematorium, cemetery, minister, celebrant and other third-party fees may need to be added. I will include them in your written estimate.
Why does the local comparison use funeral-director charges only?
The Standardised Price List was created to give families a comparable headline attended-funeral figure. Third-party charges vary with the crematorium, cemetery, officiant and choices made, so mixing them into one provider’s figure but not another would not be a fair comparison.
Are the three compared packages identical?
No. The comparison covers the published headline attended funeral-director charge only. Collection conditions, care arrangements, coffins, vehicles, visiting, optional services and third-party fees may differ. Please compare the complete written estimates before deciding.
Do you charge more if we need you during the night?
No. For a collection normally within 20 miles of our Blaby funeral home, the charge is the same day or night. We do not add an overnight or out-of-hours call-out charge, so please call when you need us rather than waiting until morning because you are worried about the price.
