Ashby de la Zouch Cemetery
If someone wished to be buried with family at the Moira Road cemetery in Ashby, tell me the name of the relative already there. I can help trace the plot and check what the funeral would cost.

Arranging a burial here
The town council holds burial records for this cemetery. For a family grave, a name and approximate burial date can help identify the right record and establish what can be arranged.
Can we arrange the burial of ashes in a family grave?
Moira Road has plots for cremated remains. The council charges separately for the plot and the burial of ashes. If you want to use a grave already in the family, tell me who is buried there. I can ask whether it can take ashes and what you would need to pay.
How much would it cost?
If you’d like to know the cost of an interment of ashes, give me a call. I’ll check the cemetery fees and explain any charge for our help. You can ring even if someone else arranged the cremation.

The burial ground dates back to the 1850s. If your family remembers a grave here but has lost the paperwork, a relative’s name and the year of burial are a useful place to start. Ask for the section and grave number before making a special journey.
