Church Lane Cemetery, Quorn
A family grave remembered as being near St Bartholomew’s could be in the churchyard or the later cemetery. Give me the name of the person buried there and we can check before planning a burial.

Arranging a burial here
Charnwood’s records distinguish the Church Lane cemetery from the closed part of St Bartholomew’s churchyard. If your family hopes to use a grave here, I’ll check which part is involved, who holds the burial rights and what is currently possible.
Asking about a burial of ashes in Quorn
If you’d like ashes buried with someone at Church Lane, tell me their name and any date you remember. I can help work out whether the grave is in the later cemetery or the old churchyard, then ask what can be agreed for that particular place.
How much would it cost?
If you’d like to know the cost of an interment of ashes, give me a call. I’ll check the cemetery fees and explain any charge for our help. You can ring even if someone else arranged the cremation.

Quorn Village On-line Museum has maps and an index of the memorials in the old churchyard at St Bartholomew’s. Its volunteers recorded inscriptions and checked them against the stones. If you are looking for someone in the later burial ground, ask us to check the burial record instead.
What if the family remembers a Baptist burial?
Quorn also has a Baptist burial ground on Meeting Street. The village museum keeps a separate list of its gravestones. If an old family note says Baptist, that is a better starting point for your search than the grounds around St Bartholomew’s.
