Welford Road Cemetery, Leicester
If you hope to use a family grave on Welford Road, ring me with the name of someone buried there. If you need a new grave in Leicester, we can look at Gilroes or Saffron Hill.

Using an existing grave
A further burial may take place in a family grave if the council confirms there is room and the required permission is in place. New graves are available elsewhere in Leicester, at Gilroes and Saffron Hill.
Burial of ashes at Welford Road
You may remember the family grave but have no papers for it. A name and approximate burial year are enough to start an enquiry about bringing ashes here. I’ll check space and who holds the burial rights. If you need a new ashes plot, we can look at Gilroes or Saffron Hill.
How much would it cost?
If you’d like to know the cost of an interment of ashes, give me a call. I’ll check the cemetery fees and explain any charge for our help. You can ring even if someone else arranged the cremation.

The council’s burial records cover Welford Road. The grave number helps if you have it, but the search can start with the person’s name and year of death. Tell me if the name appears with different spellings on your family papers.
