If you’re considering a burial on Mill Lane in Sharnford, tell me whether it’s for a coffin or for ashes. We can talk about the plot, how you’d like to mark it and what it would cost.

Arranging a burial here
The parish council handles plot requests, costs and cemetery regulations. If your family remembers it as The Burial Ground, that is the earlier name for this cemetery.
Burial of ashes in a family plot
A cremation plot at Sharnford can hold up to four ashes caskets. The parish allocates new plots in order. If you are coming back to an existing plot, a name or grave number will help us check how much space is left.
How much would it cost?
If you’d like to know the cost of an interment of ashes, give me a call. I’ll check the cemetery fees and explain any charge for our help. You can ring even if someone else arranged the cremation.

Sharnford lets families tend a small garden on a burial plot, within the size set by the parish. If the upkeep becomes difficult later, you can ask the clerk for it to be laid to grass. Flowers can be placed on all graves.
