Sapcote Cemetery
If the family already has graves on Donkey Lane, tell me whose names are on the stones. I can ask the parish about another burial and, if you want one, a shared headstone.

Arranging a burial here
Sapcote’s rules give parishioners and former parishioners of long standing the right to request interment. A non parishioner can ask the burial authority to consider a request. I’ll check the decision and fees before we make arrangements.
Burial of ashes on Donkey Lane
Sapcote has a separate section for cremation plots. If you’re bringing ashes back to the village, tell me whether you’d like a plot there or have an existing family grave in mind. I can check the grave record and help with the parish notice of interment.
How much would it cost?
If you’d like to know the cost of an interment of ashes, give me a call. I’ll check the cemetery fees and explain any charge for our help. You can ring even if someone else arranged the cremation.

There is a water tap by the cemetery entrance on Donkey Lane. The parish asks visitors to put cut flowers in a suitable container at the head of the grave. If you borrow a water container, please put it back for the next family.
One headstone for two graves
If two relatives are buried in neighbouring graves at Sapcote, you can ask for one headstone between them. The parish considers each request individually. We can check the layout and ask about permission before you order the stone.
