Great Bowden Cemetery
If you’d like a church service in Great Bowden and burial on Dingley Road afterwards, I can help with both. We can talk through who will join you at church and who will meet you at the grave.

Arranging a burial here
Harborough District Council manages the cemetery and publishes grave and interment charges for it. Tell me whether you are asking about a new space or an existing family grave and I’ll check what can be arranged.
Burial of ashes in the family grave
If you have a grave on Dingley Road, we can ask about burying an ashes casket with the person already there. The council will check who can give permission. Let me know if the grave deed is in the name of someone who has died so we can find out what the family needs to do.
How much would it cost?
If you’d like to know the cost of an interment of ashes, give me a call. I’ll check the cemetery fees and explain any charge for our help. You can ring even if someone else arranged the cremation.

Harborough lists both single and double depth graves for Great Bowden. If you would like the option of a second burial, ask about that before the first one takes place. I’ll check the particular space and explain the cost for the depth you need.

Walking from the village church
Families sometimes walk from the parish church to the cemetery. There is a pavement from the village centre to the gate on Dingley Road. The wide gates are used for funeral vehicles and maintenance. If walking that far would be difficult, we can agree where to meet the cars.
