Funerals at All Saints’ Church, Thurlaston

If All Saints is the church your family remembers, you can start by telling me that. I’ll ask the parish about a service in Thurlaston and check where you’d like the hearse to go afterwards.
Planning the service
We can start with the person you’ve lost. Perhaps there’s a hymn they loved, a reading that reminds you of them or someone who would like to speak. I’ll talk with the person leading the service about how to include those wishes.
Can some guests come just to the service in Thurlaston?
Yes. Tell me if you’d like to invite everyone to church and have a smaller gathering at the burial or cremation. We can put the arrangements clearly on the funeral notice once the times are agreed.
Finding the church
All Saints stands on Church Street. The entrance is through the west tower. If a relative would like to see the church beforehand, ask me to arrange a visit. The church lists visits by appointment.
Check the time and place on the family’s funeral notice before you travel. If Bay Tree is arranging the funeral, you can call me with a question about the day.
After the church service
For a burial
Tell me if there’s a family grave or a burial place you have in mind. I’ll check availability, permission and costs before we agree the arrangements.
Burial arrangementsFor a cremation
We’ll agree who would like to go on to the crematorium. I’ll check the two service times together and allow for the journey between them.
