Enderby New Cemetery

Leicester Lane, Enderby, Leicestershire

If the grave at Enderby is already in the family but nobody can find the deed, you can still ring me. We can start with the name on the headstone and ask the parish what it needs.

Arranging a burial here

New plots are reserved for Enderby parishioners. Non parishioners who already hold deeds to a pre purchased burial or cremation plot may still be interred there. I’ll ask the council to check the deed and arrangements.

Burial of ashes in a plot or an existing grave

Enderby’s cremation plots have room for up to two caskets side by side. If there have already been two burials in a family grave, the council can consider reopening it for ashes. Tell me where your relative lived and whether your family holds a deed so I can check the rules for that plot.

How much would it cost?

If you’d like to know the cost of an interment of ashes, give me a call. I’ll check the cemetery fees and explain any charge for our help. You can ring even if someone else arranged the cremation.

How we can help with the burial of ashes

Arranging a scattering at Enderby

There is a designated place for scattering ashes. The council asks for its form at least seven days beforehand and agrees a weekday appointment. A member of staff attends, and the family or their chosen person carries out the scattering.

If the original deed has gone missing

If you have been through the family papers and cannot find the grave deed, let me know. Enderby has a declaration specifically for lost deeds. We can ask what is needed for your plot before arranging another burial or applying for a memorial.
